Acne(pimples)

What is acne?

Acne is the common cause of spots. Most people with acne are aged between 12 and 25 but some older and younger people are also affected .Acne usually affects the face but may also affect the back, neck and chest.

What makes acne worse?

-the hormonal changes

-picking and squeezing the spots

-sweating

-tight clothes (spots may develop under tight clothes)

-sugar and milk products can make acne worse (unbalanced diet)

-if your cell phone is dirty (contain bacteria)

There are several types of acne:

-comedonal acne: this is the kind of mild acne that involves blackheads and whiteheads. It forms because a component of skin oil called sebum, along with old skin cells, block the pores of the skin. Comedonal acne appears most often on the forehead, nose, and chin.

-Inflammatory acne: this form of acne occurs when the area just under the “plug” (the blackhead or whitehead) becomes reddened and inflamed.

-Cystic acne: the most severe form of acne, cystic acne develops as the result of an actual infection in the area of the outbreak. Cystic acne often runs in families. It’s often very painful and can result in disfiguring, permanent scarring.

What can we do to improve the situation? :)

1.aspirin - aspirin is an anti-inflammatory so it can be a quick and cheap way to help reduce a pimple. The other plus is that most of us always have aspirin lying around at home. The simplest way to use it is to make a paste with 3 parts water to 1 part aspirin. Once the mixture had thickened take a Q-tip and apply to the aggravated area.

2.Aloe Vera - cools the skin down, it reduces the inflammation and redness of pimples as well as removes the oiliness from your skin.

3.Toothpaste - It is effective because it contains silica and toothpaste has been know to dry out and reduce the size of pimples over night. Simply apply some to the affected area before sleep and wash it off in the morning.

4.Garlic - It may sound strange, but garlic is fantastic for fighting acne due to its high levels of antioxidants, as well as its’ anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties.

5.Tea Tree Oil - contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, which makes it highly beneficial for acne treatment.

6.Use a gentle, pH balanced, soap-free cleanser.Wash your face twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, and again after exercising.

7.Apple Cider Vinegar Toner- The apple cider contains gentle exfoliating acids to calm acne and it balances the skin’s pH. It also allows my homemade facial oil to absorb quickly and evenly. In a small container, one part vinegar two parts water.
